Queensberry only sell to approved professional photographers and album designers. However we do get lots of enquiries from people wanting their own album, often to celebrate a wedding, reunion, new babe, family photo shoot or travel adventure. We'd like to help you if we can, so here are two ways to order a Queensberry album if you're not a professional photographer.  Talk to your photographer If the photos you want to use were taken by a professional photographer we can only use them if your photographer places the order on your behalf or with the photographer's written permission. I've just finished re-watching Barry Schwartz's Ted Talk on The Paradox of Choice. He makes this very important point: Too much choice produces paralysis. Offer people too much choice and they'll find it very difficult to choose at all. Yes, at Queensberry we offer a lot of choice! We know that. We do it because every photographer is different. And we agree, as Barry Schwartz says, that it can be difficult to get your head around. But … if you want to sell products, you need to make the effort, not leave it to your customers.  As our designer friend Donna says, to run a design To View More >>

Whether you’re just getting started with Queensberry, or you've been with us a while and want to revamp your product offering, we know it can all seem a bit daunting.   Especially for newbies there's a lot to learn — new ordering systems, new terminology, different page types, optional extras etc. Don't worry, we're here to help, and it's not that hard really! One of the few good things to come out of 2020 is that we're now all used to Zoom calls, and you can now pre-book these with us at a time to suit you. A one-on-one "face-to-face" session is a great way to get you sorted. To View More >>

Selling albums online is now common, and for very good reason. If you’re shooting destination or out-of-town weddings, chances are you’ll never see clients except on the big day. Even people who live on the other side of the city can face a big commute every time they come to see you. This becomes more of an issue the more successful you are, as people will be booking you as a result of referrals and your reputation—not because you’re handy and don’t charge too much! But selling online can be more difficult than in the studio. First, it’s harder to get people To View More >>

We're selling more smaller albums these days, but we're stoked to see people still opting for the big books! Our 18x10 albums allow for lots of images, and high impact story-telling with their radical panoramic pages. And they translate perfectly into copy albums for parents and loved ones too. (If you've included lots of small images we recommend 10in copies for albums of this size.) This 18x10 is by husband and wife team Neil and Katherine of Tandem Photography, Christchurch, New Zealand. Notice how Neil and Katherine have personalised the album for To View More >>

What can we learn from A Day of Bliss? Gorgeous brides. Striking grooms. Exquisite venues. Enticing food. Charming families and friends. Alluring music, and dancing.  These phrases describe the events that Wolfgang Freithof and Chiaki Sato photograph. And imagine — A Day of Bliss Photography Studio shoots up to 70 such weddings each year. They certainly enjoy the high-level of success that most wedding photographers aspire to, so what can we learn from them? 1. Experience Matters As you might expect, you must first work hard to earn this kind of success. Combined, Wolfgang To View More >>

Jocelen Janon photographs people. " People moving, running, arguing, dancing, jumping, protesting, agreeing, swimming, smoking, flying, crying, working. Doing nothing.  People living."  His 'Rear Window' series, framed through car windows, is a genuine, regular pleasure. Jocelen finds cars a fascinating way to observe people's behaviour, a reflection of their social status, life challenges, and priorities. And he loves the way a car can become a tool for him. "Something to shoot through voyeuristically, to add depth and also tell a story, or hint at something deeper." Rear Window To View More >>

Have you thought about running your own workshop? So many photographers do. It’s a great way to pass on your knowledge, build your reputation, and make a bit of money while you’re at it! But where to start? Julz Glover’s “The Workshop” is about the use of online imagery to get clients’ attention and turn them into paying customers. She focuses on food photography in particular, and on Instagram as a promotional tool. She offers both one-on-one and group coaching, but her latest course is online, and accessible to people across the globe. We spoke to To View More >>
